This post illustrates how to copy the C-MOR USB flash drive version on an USB stick on Windows. This USB version is usually required when C-MOR shall run directly on PC/Server hardware without an virtualization environment. This way you build your own video surveillance appliance.
Please make sure you use the correct version of C-MOR. It has to be the USB version.
Download a tool like Rufus (https://rufus.akeo.ie/) to copy C-MOR on an USB stick with the capability to boot from it to install C-MOR on the PC.
Download the C-MOR USB stick version. Make sure you get C-MOR V5 or higher from the C-MOR Video Surveillance Home Page. Start Rufus, select the plugged in USB stick and select the C-MOR USB-Image software by clicking on the CDROM Icon on the right side beside "FreeDOS":
Select the C-MOR USB image. Switch the file selector to "All Files" if you cannot find it:
The image type changes to "DD Image". Finally press the "Start" button to begin the copy process:
After copying C-MOR on the USB flash drive you need to boot your target PC/Server from it. Don't start it on your work computer! Your Windows (or Linux) will be overridden and deleted. Check in the C-MOR download page for the installation documentation.
Hit "Enter" to start the installation on the first boot prompt after booting from the USB stick:
Select "Automatically" from the installation menu!
Enter "exit" after the installation. C-MOR will start and boot again after initial setup.
