Sudden change in light intensity - Setting

Post by drdespair »

Hello,

I am having some trouble with my Level one WCS-0040, during the afternoon as the light dims its starts switching the brightness automatically up down. I would have thought this would be what the lighting intensity change is supposed to do, but I have tried both 0% and 100% and it still keeps recording them as motion. I know the camera is quite bad, designed for internal stable light conditions, but is there anything I can do minimize the events? Maybe another setting can help mitigate this issue? (ps I thought maybe if I set the brightness manually on the camera it would lock the setting to that without going up and down, but no such luck.)

Great product by the way! Thanks for offering the free version!!

Hi,

What value has the Threshold parameter? This might be set higher. Also you may set the Motion Detection event trigger higher. The sudden change in light may used with 90%.

Also, did you see the picture mask setting at the bottom of the configuration page? You can use it for picture areas where the light problem is visible and where no motion is need. This might be hard to implement, but it is an option.

I hope this helps!

Regards,

Michael
