IPsetup Tool not working?

Post by castello »

Good day,

I'm trying to change the IP address of my freshly installed Free C-MOR VM, but the C-MOR does not change the IP address. I verified a couple of times the settings and those are correct. I also switched off the firewall of my Windows 7, but it is not working. I use Virtualbox as described in the manual.

Any ideas what is wrong?

Thank you,

Castello

Hi,

Which version of VirtualBox are you using? It may be a bug in the Version 3.X. If you have the old version 3, you may upgrade to VirtualBox version 4 or you use a different PC/Server in the same network to use the IPsetup tool.

I had no issues with the VirtualBox yet. Do you really think this is the problem?

It worked using my little netbook changing the IP...

Hmmm......

I used the IPconfig Tool, too. The changes did not appear to work, but it did.

I recommend runnning a ping -t command in a DOS box while using the IPconfig Tool. This may reduce the wait time :)
