email alarms (offline camera)

Hello,

I have configured the "email alarm address" settings in order to receive emails when there is a motion detection. Everything is working properly but I noticed that when a camera is offline, the system starts sending email alerts about the offline camera every 2 minutes. (Some of my cameras are switched off regularly)
I like the feature to send offline camera notifications but the 2 minutes recurrence is pretty annoying. Mainly because the email address is linked to a SMS system.

Is it possible to do not send offline camera notifications every 2 minutes? Or maybe to disable the system alerts but keep the motion detection alerts?

Thank you in advance,
Regards.
Alfredo.

Hi,
A good workarround to dissable the system alerts could be to allow the "Email Address" field to be empty in the "Email Alarm Address" configuration to dissable the system alerts (camera offline).

It is just a suggestion for the next release if there is no other way to avoid the avalanche of emails.

Does anybody else have the same problem?

Regards,
Alfredo.

It seems that there is a new C-MOR release (3.715) and one of the changes was:
Added extra time gap within email warnings on camera failures will not be sent again

Does it means that now the camera offline alerts will not be sent regularly?

Thanks,
Regards.
Alfredo.

Yes, this is correct. This fix is in test mode. It will suppress the warning email and re-send it after a certain time period (1hour) again.

Also, the email address for general alarm emails can be disabled in the new version. Meanwhile simply use nowehere@c-mor-video.com if you want to disable the system alerts.
