C-MOR 3.7141 password "admin" doesn´t work

Post by afeno »

Hello,
I have just installed the C-MOR VM in a ESX 5.0 environment and the default password "admin" doesn´t work.
I used the ISO that can be downloaded as .zip from the download secion.

The password doesn´t work from the console or Web interface.
Any solution to this?

thank you and Regards,
Alfredo

Hi,

We haven't encountered this problem yet. However, problems occur when VMware vSphere is used through an RDP connection. Then the password gets sometimes screwed before it "reaches" the console. Very slow typing may help

The web password should work then anyway. Does the login banner say "C-MOR Webadministration"?

Best regards,

Hi,
I have tried to type the password very slow but it doesn´t work.
the web login banner say: "C-MOR Web-Administration".

The VMWARE Player version (also available in the dowload page) works just fine. After converting the vmx and vmdk to a VM compatible with ESX. But the disk is already partitioned to 20Gb :(

There is any way to resize the partition? I mean, it is easy to increase the size of the HDD, but how can I increase the size within the C-MOR volume?

Thanks.
regards,
Alfredo.

Hello,

Which version did you downoad and install? The VMware Player version?

Did you type all letters in lower case? Also the login name?

The disk can't be resized inside C-MOR. You have the option to use the C-MOR VM which is not for a dedicated virtualization system. This installs on most VM servers. Also you can resize the partitions.

If you decide to do a deeper test you may use the 30 days full test version license which can be released to a full version and covers up to 2TB disk space.

Hello,

Yes, I´m using lower case in both user and password.
The version that I downloaded is the "C-MOR video surveillance free VM zipped ISO, Version 3.7141, January 30th, 2012 (212 MB)
(MD5SUM: e362cfdf2efb58a9130012f27fd09e0b)
I have tried the Interactivelly and the automated instalations and both have the same problem.

Then, I decided to download the VMware Player version and convert it to an ESX VM. This is working fine but I have the limitation of 20Gb...
Even if I resize the partition in the VM, C-MOR still recognize the original size of the Virtual HDD.

Thanks

Regards,
Alfredo.

Update:

I found what is the problem.
The issue is with the boot loader. For some reason Mobo is not able to configure the boot loader in a Virtual HDD. This cause the system to do not finish the instalation properly.

I have tried to install C-MOR using the Interactivelly option once again and when I selecte to not use boot loader the instalation finished and it was working perfectly.

Thak you.

Hi,

I just downloaded the ZIP file from the C-MOR.COM web and tested it. There is no issue with the password/login.

Is there a way we can access your installation from the internet?

Hi Garry,

I´m testing your software in a test environment that doesn´t allow the access from internet.
How many ports should we open and NAT for you?

Alfredo.
