Re: GPL licensing of C-MOR
Hello p40, The quote you criticize comes from the Free Software Foundation's FAQ, which you appear not to have read. Here it is again, in full: I'd like to incorporate GPL-covered software in my proprietary system. I have no permission to use that software except what the GPL gives me. Can I do this...

Re: GPL licensing of C-MOR
No response? Here is a relevant part of the Free Software Foundation's FAQ page: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#GPLInProprietarySystem You cannot incorporate GPL-covered software in a proprietary system. The goal of the GPL is to grant everyone the freedom to copy, redistribute, understand...

GPL licensing of C-MOR
C-MOR is a Linux-based product that makes use of a great deal of GPL 2 and 3 licensed software.
It is a requirement of the GPL licensing that the source code for the whole system should be made available upon request. Please consider this a formal request.
Where may I find the source code?

Re: TP-Link TL-SC3230
With respect, michaelr, I think you are being a bit too prickly in your reply and have misrepresented my position. I neither think, nor did I suggest, that you were being "lazy" when I described the documentation as being very brief on setting a manual path. It's a fact: the documentation ...

Re: TP-Link TL-SC3230
So... what is in the manual of your camera about the path to use it with systems like C-MOR? Read my original post. It should be documented in the camera's manual Agreed. not in the C-MOR manual! At least you got the option for a manual path! You just moved the goalposts. You originally suggested t...

Re: TP-Link TL-SC3230
Hi pump2, I just read the manual and it's not too brief what C-MOR has documented in the manual about integrating cameras with a manual path. Look at page 45. Page 45+ simply contains a long list, dated June 2012, of supported cameras and those that should work. The information on manual configurati...

TP-Link TL-SC3230
I bought a TP-Link TL-SC3230 1.3 megapixel camera and tried to use it via C-Mor. Your web site states that "C-MOR is preconfigured to support all the major brands of IP video security cameras such as Axis, Level 1, Linksys-Cisco, Mobotix, Panasonic, Sony, TP-Link, Vivotek and many more." b...

Re: Using the Barionet 50
Michael, Thank you for your reply. The syslog trigger mechanism works as I thought. Regarding the display of temperature measured by the Barionet 50, could you point me to documentation showing how it may be done? Specifically, is the extra program you refer to a piece of Barix Control Language (BCL...

Using the Barionet 50
1. The C-Mor user manual briefly mentions using the Cam Syslog Event area, which is located in the camera configuration section. Since a system can potentially have many cameras, is there a reason why the syslog event trigger is associated with a particular camera, rather than for the whole system? ...

Re: Limitations of free VM
Michael, Thank you for taking the time to reply so fully. Re. point 8 you state that "TLS was never stated being supported" but your datasheet states "Secure HTTPS transmission protocol supported" for all versions. I assume by this that SSL is supported. I look forward to seeing ...

Re: Anomalous behaviour under Opera browser
Michael, If bug is too strong a word, let's call it an anomaly. I fully understand that C-Mor can be run in either German or English. That said, whatever language is chosen at the start should continue to be displayed until the user decides to change it. When I enter into the online demo, English is...

Anomalous behaviour under Opera browser
I've come across a few things that don't seem to behave correctly under the Opera (12.14) browser. Under Firefox, IE8 and Comodo Dragon, it works just fine. 1. Version 3.76 Free of the VM-based NVR. a) Logout. A new logon screen immediately appears, rather than the normal "You have just logged ...

New 64-bit Linux under Virtualbox
I am currently running tests of your VM product on a 3-year old machine that runs Ubuntu 64-bit version 12.04 and Virtualbox 4.2.10. The processor is an Intel E5200, which is a modest processor but considerably faster than the Intel Atoms used in your 3-camera hardware box. I see that the new (4.00)...

Re: Limitations of free VM
I would normally bump this but this forum is so quiet that it's not necessary.
I know people at C-Mor are busy but good support goes hand in hand with good software. I would appreciate it if someone could spare some time to address my questions.
Best wishes.

Re: Limitations of free VM
C-MOR is not rather expensive. It's rather cheap! Well, we each will form our own opinion based upon what we have already seen. My questions was not aimed at denigrating C-Mor's product, which seems to be a fine offering, but rather to focus more on the differences of the free version versus the pa...
