I'm trying to install the C-MOR software directly on a Supermicro server. The server has only USB for the keyboard.
The C-MOR installation starts from CDROM. The installation menu shows up and I can hit enter to start the installation. Then suddenly the keyboard stops working. Unplugging does not help.
What is going wrong here?

Re: Keyboard stops working during installation
During the installation the server switches to a USB mode/speed which is not supported by the USB keyboard. In Supermicro servers there are BIOS settings to avoid this USB keyboard problem.
Boot the server and enter the BIOS.
Go to Advanced and select PCH-IO Configuration.
Make following settings:
EHCI1: Enabled
EHCI2: Enabled
Legacy USB Support: Enabled
Port 60/64 Emulation: Disabled
XHCI Hand-off: Disabled
EHCI Hand-off: Enabled
XHCI-Mode: Disabled
Save the setttings and boot again from the C-MOR CDROM. Now the keyboard should be permanently available.
