Everybody can Install C-MOR themselves. That easy it works to establish your Video Surveillance self!
1. Connect C-MOR Video Surveillance
Connect the network port 1 for the use in a local network (LAN) to your switch or router. Port 2 is only for special uses like IP recovery. Usually you should not use port 2. Once you have connected the network cable to port 1 you can switch C-MOR on with the power switch on the front side.
2. Change the IP address on the Console
The IP address can be changed on the console of C-MOR. Simply connect a keyboard and monitor and select menu 2 to change the IP. If you use a virtual version you can use your virtualization management software to access the console of C-MOR.
Alternatively Start the Program IP Setup Toolbox from the C-MOR CDROM
Enter the MAC Address of your C-MOR in the IP Setup Toolbox. The MAC Address can be found on the C-MOR Data Sheet and on the C-MOR self.
The IP Setup Toolbox assigns the IP Address which must be in the range of your local network, e.g. 192.168.1.2. For security reasons the
C-MOR administrator password is required. The standard login is "admin" and the password is "admin". Simply enter your network
information and click on "Set C-MOR IP Configuration".
The IP Setup Toolbox requires the installation of the Java Runtime Environment on your Computer. Therefor it can be used on all
common operating systems like Windows, Mac OS, Linux or Solaris.
The IPsetup Tool can be downloaded under the Download Page.
3. Log in to your Video Surveillance C-MOR with your Web Browser
Now enter the IP address you have setup in step 2 in your WWW browser on a PC which is hooked up to the local network or which is able to reach the IP address of C-MOR. The default administrator account is "admin" with the password "admin".
4. Connect the Video Surveillance Camera to the Network
If you have ordered a pre-configured camera, it is ready to connect to the network. If not then see the camera manual how to set up a propper IP address. Connect the camera now to your local switch or router on a free network port.
5. Activate the Camera Recording in the C-MOR Web-Page
Once you are logged in to the C-MOR Web-Administration then click on the upper menu on Systemadministration on the menu point "Adjust Cam X". Now
you get the menu on the left side and you can enter the IP address, username with password and select the propper camera type and enable it.
The default administrator account is "admin" with the password "admin".
6. That's it already - use C-MOR in the local network
Now C-MOR is up and running. The camera is active and is recording motion and if set up permanent timelapse movies. Please check now in the camera
configuration menu again and asure the parameters, especially the settings for motion detection on top are ok and C-MOR starts
recording on motion in the camera picture.
You can view a different camera by simply selecting it on the top menu. Click on Play to watch a recorded Video on C-MOR.
7. Use C-MOR Video Surveillance over Internet (alternatively)
To use C-MOR over the Internet you have to do the final step on your Internet Access Router or Firewall.
The easiest way to connect from the Internet is a static IP address which you get from your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Alternatively you can
use a service like DynamicDNS (http://www.dyndns.org) which enables you to setup a free account
to register your temporary IP on the routers dial in to access the C-MOR over it. Please read the manual of your Internet Router for further instructions.
